Skyrim ships 10 million copies already, outsells other PC titles three to one

Zenimax has announced that 10 million copies of Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim have been shipped out to retailers since release, which represents $650 million in potential sales so far. Keep in mind that those copies are shipped, not actually sold, but sales for the title are doing well so far, and as all of those gift cards appear in stockings and under the tree this coming holiday, odds are that quite a few more of these copies will be exchanged for money going forward.

Zenimax also reports that the critically acclaimed title has outsold all other PC games by a factor of three to one in the month since its release, and currently holds the title for the fastest-selling game in Steam's history. Medal of Honor: Warfighter avoiding Osama Bin Laden mission

Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which uses the experiences of Tier One Operatives for its missions and plot, will avoid the conclusion of terrorist Osama Bin Laden's life in its story.

"That's not our story to tell," producer Greg Goodrich told OXM US. "That's 'family business' to [the Tier 1 Operatives]. ... It's been an interesting exercise learning what's okay and what's not okay [to portray in the game]." And who at EA is going to argue with a guy who can kill with a paperclip?

The Medal of Honor reboot also avoided possible offense two years ago by changing "Taliban" to "Opposing Force" for the multiplayer portion of the game.
