Irem's Bumpy Trot 2 (Steambot Chronicles 2) also canceled

Irem's Bumpy Trot, an action game about steam-powered walking mechs, was released here on PS2 as Steambot Chronicles. A PS3 sequel was announced at TGS 2006, with few announcements since then, until today's really unfortunate one: It's been canceled.

In a brief letter on the Bumpy Trot site, Irem apologized to fans and plead with them to support Irem's future titles. That lineup, after the cancellation of Disaster Report 4, currently includes Doki Doki Suikoden and Pachipara Slot, both for PSP and neither likely to leave... (Continue Reading...)

'The Boondock Saints Video Game' officially announced at SXSW Interactive

The Boondock Saints Video Game has just been announced at during a panel at the SXSW Interactive festival in Austin, TX. After a solid hour of women asking the film's cast to sign various parts of their bodies (seriously), an extremely brief trailer was shown for the title, which consisted of a camera fly-through of a seedy alleyway and two motionless character models of the Saints.

Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Della Rocco are contributing their voices to their respective characters, and will be part of the game's ongoing creative process, but beyond that no further information was given regarding platform availability or an expected release window.Gallery: The Boondock Saints (McGinty's Alley art)
