NintendoWare Weekly: An actual Virtual Console game

After two weeks of absolutely nothing in new Wii downloads, Nintendo dropped a new Virtual Console game on us. And not just any new Virtual Console game, Super Street Fighter II ... with online play. Even after being released in Japan last November, and being announced locally by Capcom the same month, it's still surprising to see extra functionality.

Pokemon AR Searcher, updated Pokedex 3D coming to 3DS eShop

Two more Pokemon experiences are headed to the eShop in Japan, revealed by the Nintendo Direct conference. Pokemon AR Searcher is a shooting game that puts Pokemon in real-world environments (represented by the view of the 3DS camera). It'll be out in Japan June 23 for 300 yen. We're going to think of it as the Face Raiders sequel we never got.

Pokemon Zengoku Zukan Pro is a premium version of the freeware Pokedex 3D. We didn't catch exactly what the upgrades were (Japanese language stream and all) but whatever it is, Nintendo plans to charge 1,500 yen ($18) for... (Continue Reading...)
