We're still waiting for an official announcement from NVIDIA, but the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro is up for pre-order from Amazon for $200 with an estimated ship date of October 28th. Like previous versions, the new model supports 4K HDR video playback and it can run some Shield-exclusive video games. There's also support for streaming games over the internet using NVIDIA's GeForce Now service. What's new is a new Tegra X1+ processor that NVIDIA says brings 25-percent faster performance, a new remote control with a weird triangular-shaped design and far more buttons than its predecessor and support for Bluetooth 5.0.
Now that Intel's new Ice Lake processor feature Gen11 graphics with a significant performance boost over the company's earlier integrated GPUs, perhaps the company sees less demand. Or maybe PC makers and consumers who would have been the target market for these have decided they're better served by devices with Intel chips and separate AMD or NVIDIA graphics.
The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are sequels to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max - if there was any doubt. They are just as big, with similar designs and screens, but come with improved performance, some big camera upgrades, larger batteries, and a new Apple U1 wideband chip. Indeed, there is a lot to explore, so don't let the familiar looks fool you. The new triple camera is brand new, though. Now in addition to the wide and tele shooters, there is an ultrawide snapper. Night Mode finally makes it to the iPhones, and the 4K capture at 60fps gets the cool extended dynamic range as well. Probably the most awesome feature, showing off the power of Apple's chip, is the option to shoot with all four cameras (incl. selfie) at once. At 4K at 60fps with no limits. Imagine that!
The Galaxy Note 10 Plus is Samsung's biggest, boldest Galaxy Note yet. It has a slimmer design, more screen than ever before, and an S Pen that has learned some new tricks. Almost all of its new features are in the name of refinement, but that refinement is dictated by design and mass-market appeal, not necessarily by functionality.
